Hope for Unity... and faith!
~ It gives me hope ... that there are millions of people around
the world involved in a
faith that holds unity and peace as central, the common oneness of all the faiths is upheld,
and the nobility of human nature is fully acknowledged.
~~
I love it that... a religion has outlawed holy war (!)* and gives credence to
scientific thinking,
calling out the human capacity to recognize truth and
challenging us to investigate beyond tradition...
A religion that purports to put unity first, above its own self- promotion--
-- could this be real?!! It gives me some hope, if nothing more...

More Than Talk...
The quote above, from the Baha'i teachings is a vital part of its creed, that unity must be
expressed by building a universal and unified social system based on spiritual principles.
Part of that construction is the instituting of systems and methods of governance within the Baha'i
ranks, as revealed by Baha'u'llah. It is these systems, attitudes and pathways that Baha'is find most
uniquely powerful, believing that they can bring a vital transformation in politics and culture.
The world has been invited to study and use them inasmuch as they are able and willing.

It gives me hope to know that...
Religion, by the way, can no longer be about Salvation for the one,
and it is changing to meet that reality.
There is no hope for the individual without Salvation for a World--
and that means real concrete facts and acts!
It means alot more than just thinking, wishing, praying or "being spiritual", let alone religious...
In fact, what we think of as religion has little to do with the world salvation that we need at all!
There is a model now held up for social organization, studied by scholars and found to
counter common flaws of known governmental systems* --
The model begins with Unity, claimed as the foremost needed intervention for our world.
I believe that unity is key for healing our world.
But much more is needed...
and it is changing to meet that reality.
There is no hope for the individual without Salvation for a World--
